Abstract
The invention relates to electrohydrodynamic pumps for pumping dielectric liquids.The multistage electrohydrodynamic pump comprises a rectangular housing (5), in which are placed the stages (6, 7) of the pump, where each stage contains two electrodes - emitter (E) and collector (C), made in the form of arrays of parallel-stretched wires. On the wires of the emitter (E) are applied insulation coatings with perforations from the end of collector (C). The perforations of the insulation coating of the emitter (E) are made of a length equal to 0.2…0.5 of the length of wire circumference. On the upper side of the stages on the wires of the collector (C) are applied insulation coatings on 0.2…0.5 of the length of wire circumference. In the insulation coatings of the wires of collector (C) are made perforations in the form of slits, transversely to the wire, on the full length of the insulation coating and with a width of 0.02…0.5 mm. The ratio of the distance between the perforations of the collector (C) to the gap between the emitter (E) and collector (C) of one stage is equal to 0.4…1.0.
