Abstract

The invention relates to agriculture and can be used to assess plant resistance to heat.The method, according to the invention, includes the selection of leaves of plants of the same age, stabilization of leaves within 24 hours, determination of values of the quantum efficiency of the photosystem II of the stabilized leaves by means of fluorometer, selection of leaves with the same values, their division into two parts - control and test, exposure of test leaves to heat shock action by immersion in water with temperatures between 48…60°C for 5 min, re-stabilization of control and test leaves during 7 days, determination of values of the quantum efficiency of the photosystem II of the control and test leaves, determination of relative values of the quantum efficiency of the photosystem II of the test leaves, construction of the graph of dependence of relative values of the quantum efficiency of the photosystem II of the test leaves on the temperature and assessment on its basis of plant resistance to heat.
