Abstract
The invention relates to chemistry and medicine, in particular to a biologically active binuclear coordination compound of copper, of the class of metal bis-thiosemicarbazonates, which can be used in medicine and veterinary medicine for the prevention and treatment of mycoses.According to the invention, claimed is the coordination compound (µ2-bromo)-{µ2-2,2'-[(5-tert-butyl-2-oxido-1,3-phenylene)dimethanylidene]bis(N-methylhydrazine-1-carbothioamido)}-di-copper(II) of the formula:The said coordination compound exhibits high antifungal activity against fungi of the species Candida albicans.
