Abstract

The invention relates to the field of medicine and chemistry, namely to new polymeric antibacterial materials based on lignin.Summary of the invention consists in that a polymeric material with antibacterial properties is proposed, which is a lignin grafted with the antibacterial preparation N'-(5-nitrofurfurylidene)isonicotinehydrazide (isofural), wherein the isofural content is of 30…50 wt.%. At the same time, the grafting is performed by preliminary activation of lignin with ethyl chloroformate in the presence of an organic base in dimethylformamide at 0°C.The polymeric material has an antibacterial effect at micromolecular isofural level, low toxicity and is soluble in the dimethylformamide-water mixture (1:1).
