The invention refers to medicine, neurology, pediatry and is meant for predicting the evolution of development of the central nervous system of fetus.The method consists in that beginning with the 20-th week of pregnancy it is carried out the electroencephalography of fetus, it is analyzed the electroencephalogram and in the event that there are revealed waves from delta range of 0,5...3 oscillations/s and waves from theta range of 4...5 oscillations/s with the amplitude of 10...20 -W, it is predicted a normal development of the central nervous system, if the waves are polymorphous slow with the amplitude up to 10 -W, it is predicted the risk of appearance of the hypoxic-ischemic encephalopathy, if the waves are of the suppression-burst type, it is predicted the risk of appearance of cerebral malformations, if there are determined bilateral slow waves from the delta-theta range with the amplitude greater than 40 -W, it is predicted the risk of appearance of epilepsy.
