Abstract

The invention relates to the water conditioning, particularly to a process for regeneration of waste active coal used at the water treatment. The process, according to the invention, includes treatment of coal with a solution containing, in g/L:hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), 33%5...10manganese nitrate (Mn(NO3)2À4H2O)0,05...0,1deionized waterthe rest,at the same time treatment is carried out at the air barbotage of the suspension with the coal content of 100...150 g/L with a specific air consumption of 0,5...1,0 dm3L/min, at the concomitant action of ultra-violet radiation with the wave-length of 250...380 nm with the effective dose of radiation of 10...20 mJ/cm2.
