Abstract

The invention relates to the technique for gas cleaning from suspended solids and liquid drops and may be used in the gas, petroleum refining, chemical, food, machine-building and other branches of industry.The gas-liquid separator comprises a body (1) with inlet (4) and outlet (5) pipes, a helix (6) installed inside the body (1), a baffle (8), placed thereunder, and a drain hole made in the lower part of the body (1). Novelty of the invention consists in that the helix (6) is made multifilar, with formation of closed screw channels for the fluid medium flow, with the possibility of changing the flow direction about 180° at least twice by means of the baffle (8) made perforated. The space between the perforated baffle (8) and the lower part of the body (1) is divided by vertical partitions (10) into sections (9), the number of which is equal to the number of screw channels, at the same time into each section (9) there is made a drain hole equipped with plug (12).The inlet pipe (4) may be mounted tangentially about the body (1), communicating with one of the screw channels of the multifilar helix (6).The surface of the perforated baffle (8) may be made conic from the end of the multifilar helix (6).
