Abstract
The invention relates to the shipbulding, particularly to the sailing vessel equipment.The purpose of the invention consists in the improvement of the aerodynamically charateristics of the sailing vessel equipment. This purpose is realized by increasing the capacities of the main stay sail and namely: improving the manoeuvra bility, the running charateristics, the possibilitues of adjusting to optimum operating conditions.From the windward side of the basis sail 1, is installed an additional sail 2, formed by separate spars, jointed in a mobile way to the basis sail 1 by the sparring 4. The sparring has the possibility to move around the axle, placed near the tack corner of the basic sail 1, close on both parts to the surface of the tack corner. On the lower edge of the additional sail 2, closer to the tack corner, there is its axle turning round the sparring 4. Both sails have also a mobile junction in their upper part. the sheet end 5 of the additional sail 2 is introduced in the blocks 6 and 7, situated close to the sheet and the tack corners of the basic sail 1.In this case, when replacing the tack, the leach of the additional sail 2 doesn't touch the mast 8. The sailing vessel equipment is controlled by one person, and this fact makes easier the adjustment to optimum operation conditions, facilitates the vessel control, guarantees a safe operation.Drawings:2
