The invention relates to an insulating foam material which may be used, preferably, for flat insulation veneers and, respectively, for insulation of buildings or parts of buildings.The insulating foam material (3) is formed of expansible polystyrene particles and contains pigmented (1) and nonpigmented (2) polystyrene particles, at the same time the material is formed of 10…90 mass % of pigmented polystyrene particles and 90…100 mass % of nonpigmented polystyrene particles.The result of the invention consists in preserving the form of the constructions given the thermal demand.
