Abstract
The invention relates to the cosmic engineering and may be used in the construction of spacecrafts and orbital stations with constant orientation towards a luminous radiation source, in particular, in the creation of spacecrafts with light sails. The device for spacecraft orientation towards a luminous radiation source comprises, installed into the spacecraft's body, annular heat pipes with capillary structure 4 placed inside them, each of them including a vaporization zone 2 and a condensation one 3. Novelty of the invention consists in that the vaporization zone 2 and the condensation zone 3 are placed diametrically opposite and joined with a diametrically installed pipe-line 6, filled with the capillary structure 4. The capillary structure 4 in the vaporization zone 2 and in the condensation zone 3 is placed in the form of layer on the inside of the annular heat pipes, at the same time in the vaporization zone 2 it is made of light-absorbing material. The vaporization zone 2 is separated by means of inserts 8 into two chambers 9 and 10, isolated from each other and placed symmetrically about the pipe-line 6, at the same time each chamber is equipped with a steam conduit 11 passing through the adjacent chamber, the outlet sections of both steam conduits 11 are placed beyond the limits of the vaporization zone 2, and above the vaporization zone 2 there is made a transparent window 5.The device for spacecraft orientation towards a luminous radiation source may be equipped with a screen-reflector 13, installed on the outside of the body, above the transparent window 5, at the same time into the screen there is made an opening, the shape and the dimensions of which coincide with the shape and the dimensions of the transparent window 5.The device for spacecraft orientation towards a luminous radiation source may be equipped with a partition 12, symmetrically installed on the outside of the body, in the zone of the transparent window 5, longitudinally or transversely to the body, or may be made cruciform.
