Abstract

The invention relates to the mechanical engineering, namely to the production of welding equipment and is meant for manufacture of electroradiators, the case of which consists of hollow sections, stamped from steel plate and filled up with liquid heat-transfer agent.Summary of the invention consists in that the electroradiator case sections, stamped from steel plate, with transversal coaxially adjusted holes, made in the upper and lower parts of the sections, are welded by resistance spot welding. The sections, preliminarily welded all around the external contour from two stamped halves, are assembled in stack by means of the welding machine, the first lower in the stack being the frontal section, the external stamped half of which is made without the above said holes. Rigidly fixing the position of the sections in the stack each about the other to the welding machine, into the holes of the stack there are sank the electric holders with electrodes, with which the machine is equipped. The electrodes are brought in contact with the surfaces of the sections, subjected to welding, and the stack sections are filled up with water, which is supplied into them in the course of the whole welding process through the holes, made into the body of one of the electric holders. The electric holders rotate about the vertical axis of the stack holes and displace the electrodes towards each other by means of the mechanisms with which the machine is equipped for carrying out of such actions, providing for that application onto the surface of the welded parts of the sections round the holes of a series of superposed contact points, forming a continuous circumferential weld. Linking up the weld round the holes and lifting the electric holders from the stack holes by means of the mechanisms with which the machine is equipped, the stack is increased with a section, installing it over the welded ones. Then the cycle of the described actions is repeated with the following two sections of the stack.The result consists in reducing the reheat temperature of the welded sections in the welding process, that increases the quality of the weld.
