Abstract

The invention relates to a process and an installation for recovery of non-ferrous metals from solid wastes of the metal-containing sewage and processing media of the galvanochemical industry and may be applied at the mechanical engineering plants and in hydraulic metallurgy. The process for recovery of non-ferrous metals from sewage hydroxide sediments includes the ammoniacal alkalinization of metals with subsequent electrochemical reduction thereof, with that the alkalinization is carried out in solution, containing in g/L: ammonium chloride 100...120; ammonium alums 20...30; boric acid 25...35; 25 mass % ammonia solution 30...50, at the temperature of 150...180 degree C and the pressure 10...15 atm, and the electrochemical reduction of metals is carried out at the liquid passage through a porous electrode with the rate of volume flow of 0,5...0,75 ml/s and the cathode current density value of 300...500 A/dm2, continuously evacuating the reduced metals in the form of powder into the inert organic liquid with the density of 1,2...1,7 g/cm3.The installation for realization of the process, according to the invention, includes the vat framework, the insoluble cathode and anode separated by a diaphragm, the electrolyte inlet and outlet pipes, the cathode being made in the form of a perforated rotary drum, provided with electrolyte inlet pipe, on the outside of which it is placed the porous electrode, made of carbon-fibrous material, hermetically attached to a separating grid, in the upper part of the framework it is installed a current conductor, and in the lower one - an arched scraper, under which it is installed a bunker, filled up with an inert organic liquid. The result of the invention consists in increasing the intensity and the efficiency of the electrochemical metal recovery process.Claims: 4Fig.: 1
