Abstract
The invention relates to the field of power engineering, in particular to processes and installations for gas and liquid fuel mixture combustion and may be used in thermal power-generating plants (steam boilers, thermal plants, industrial furnaces etc.).It is proposed a process for gas and liquid fuel mixture combustion, wherein the liquid fuel is atomized at the gas fuel outlet zone from the corona discharge field, afterwards the fuel mixture is passed through an alternating electric field in two stages. In the first stage the dispersed liquid phase is intensely vaporized, and in the second one, simultaneously with vaporization it is carried out the electric sintering of the fuel and the oxidant ions.The installation for gas and liquid fuel mixture combustion is provided with an additional chamber for gas and liquid fuel mixing, communicating through an outlet port with the gas fuel inlet chamber. Into the additional mixing chamber, prior to and after the outlet port there are consecutively placed a liquid fuel atomizer, coupled with an adjustable preheater, and an additional electrode unit. The installation is also equipped with a processor functionally joined with the adjustable preheater, an optical analyzer of the liquid fuel drops size, installed at the inlet into the additional electrode unit and a transducer for measuring the average charge of the drop. The electrodes of the additional unit and of the electric sintering unit are connected to a high voltage alternating-current source.
