Abstract
The invention relates to a method for processing infectious medical waste and a device for disinfection and conversion of said waste into molten plastic mass, and can be used for the production of various plastic products.The method for processing medical waste consists in that medical waste is shredded and thermally heated to a temperature of 190°C when pressed. The device for realization of the method consists of a body (1), on which is installed a hopper (2) for medical waste, fixed on a shredder (3) installed on the body (1), at the same time the shredder (3) is connected to an intermediate hopper, wherein is placed an auger (6) with heating elements (7) and a drive mechanism (9), fixed on the body (1). From the end part of the intermediate hopper is fixed a waste-forming plate (11) with a space for the gas exhaust system (10). The device is equipped with an additional air heating unit (12) and a gas filtration unit (14), connected by pipes (13) to each other, a condensate capture unit (15) and a fan (16) to regulate the air flow.
