The invention relates to the electrical engineering, in particular to devices for reactive power compensation, and may be used for increasing the cos φ in the power supply networks.The reactive power compensator contains a three-phase transformer, the primary winding of which is connected to a power supply, the secondary winding is connected in parallel to another power supply, for example, to the power line or to the bars of the electrical installation, a voltage regulator on the primary winding and a reactance, connected in parallel to the secondary winding. The reactance is made in the form of a capacitor bank or in the form of an inductance coil on a magnetic circuit.
