Invenþia se referã la microbiologia medicalã ºi poate fi utilizatã în diagnosticul de laborator pentru depistarea selectivã a bacteriilor din familia Enterobacteriaceae.Mediul nutritiv propus conþine agar Endo, di(m-o)-di[N-(2-oxo-1-naftal)-N´-a-oxobenzalhidrazincupru] dihidrat, dimetilformamidã ºi apã distilatã, în urmãtorul raport al constituentelor, g/L:di(m-o)-di[N-(2-oxo-1-naftal)-N´-a-oxobenzalhidrazincupru]Rezultatul tehnic constã în inhibarea roirii bacteriilor din familia Proteus.
