Abstract
The invention presented explores an innovative application for pre-treated wastewater from treatment plants: its use in the manufacture of clay bricks. Clay bricks are widely used in construction for their durability, strength, and ecological benefits. Integrating treated wastewater into this manufacturing process could not only offer a solution for valorizing this water but also potentially reduce the environmental footprint of the construction industry. To assess the implications of using treated wastewater in clay brick manufacturing, an evaluation of the bricks' physico-mechanical properties is essential. To industrialize the brick manufacturing process using pre-treated wastewater, it will be necessary to comply with the requirements of the Moroccan standard for construction materials. An assessment of the environmental footprint, particularly the radioactive dose, is strongly recommended. The study was conducted on two types of bricks: a control brick and a brick mixed with pre-treated wastewater.
