Abstract
The invention relates to a new way of making temperature probes (3) which use thermocouples (4) as measuring means. There are two families of probes (3) which use thermocouples (4) as temperature sensors: the first family: insulated probes (2); the second family: non-insulated probes (1). The most common probes (3) are non-insulated probes (1), they have the advantage of having too short a response time (very reactive), but they have the disadvantage of being very sensitive to electrical interference present in their environments (ground loop noise), which makes the measurement of the temperature erroneous or even impossible since it is very unstable and very variable from one moment to another. To remedy the problems of electrical noise, the insulated probes (2) make it possible to isolate the thermocouple (4) from the internal walls of the probe (3), thus preventing a parasitic electric current from passing from the probe (3) to the thermocouple (4) then to the conditioning circuit; however this type of probe (3) still has the disadvantage of a longer response time of the thermocouple (4), which generates measurement delays making it unusable in certain applications. Our invention has been able to combine the advantages of each family by creating a new probe (3) which uses an electrically insulating material (5) and at the same time a very good thermal conductor, which makes it possible to have a probe (2) without interference electrical and having a shorter response time than the uninsulated probe (1).
