Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé pour acquérir et traiter des images du fond d'œil au moyen d'un dispositif électronique portable (1), le dispositif électronique portable comprenant un appareil photographique ou une caméra vidéo (2) capable d'acquérir une pluralité d'images à une fréquence prédéterminée, et un processeur capable de traiter ces images, le procédé consistant : - à acquérir une pluralité d'images du fond d'œil au moyen de l'appareil photographique ou de la caméra vidéo du dispositif électronique, - à mapper certaines images sélectionnées parmi la pluralité d'images acquises, les images sélectionnées étant positionnées les unes par rapport aux autres de façon à former une carte du fond d'œil formée par l'assemblage des images sélectionnées, et le positionnement de chaque image par rapport aux autres images sélectionnées précédemment étant réalisé dans un intervalle de temps maximal de 125 millisecondes, et à joindre les images sélectionnées ou des images correspondant à ces dernières selon le positionnement mutuel défini par le mappage, de façon à générer une image unique du fond d'œil.
