Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé d'indication des sous-ensembles de flux de bits dans un flux de bits vidéo (210). Le procédé comprend la réception du flux de bits, la division du flux de bits en paquets vidéo (211 à 216), chaque paquet comprenant soit une des données vidéo soit des informations supplémentaires, et le marquage de chaque paquet avec un identifiant de sous-ensemble unique (stream_id). Chaque identifiant de sous-ensemble est associé à un sous-ensemble de flux de bits correspondant (221 à 223). En outre, l'invention concerne un procédé d'extraction de paquets vidéo d'un flux de bits vidéo. Le procédé comprend la fourniture d'identifiants de sous-ensemble concernés, la réception de paquets vidéo en provenance du flux de bits, et, pour chaque paquet reçu, l'inspection de l'identifiant de sous-ensemble du paquet. Le paquet est extrait si l'identifiant de sous-ensemble correspond à un des identifiants de sous-ensemble concernés. Cela permet une condensation des propriétés d'un sous-ensemble de flux de bits en un seul identifiant, simplifiant ainsi le traitement de paquets vidéo dans le réseau et du côté du client. En outre, l'invention concerne des dispositifs correspondant aux procédés susmentionnés.
