Abstract
L'invention concerne un procédé de criblage d'une population de plantes à la recherche de la présence d'individus qui présentent une susceptibilité réduite à l'éthylène et à des troubles physiologiques, notamment formation de taches roussâtres et jaunissement, par rapport à une plante témoin. Une population de semences est mise à germer dans l'obscurité et en présence de l'éthylène pour obtenir des semis qui, lorsqu'ils ont un hypocotyle plus long par rapport au témoin original sensible à l'éthylène, sont choisis comme plantes présentant une susceptibilité réduite à l'éthylène et à des troubles physiologiques, notamment la formation de taches roussâtres ou le jaunissement. L'invention concerne enfin les plantes ainsi choisies.The invention relates to a method of screening a plant population for the presence of individuals which have reduced susceptibility to ethylene and physiological disorders, including formation of russet spots and yellowing, compared with control plant. A seed population is germinated in the dark and in the presence of ethylene to obtain seedlings which, when they have a longer hypocotyl compared to the original ethylene-sensitive control, are selected as plants having a reduced susceptibility to ethylene and physiological disorders, including russet spots or yellowing. The invention finally relates to the plants thus chosen.
