Abstract

The invention pertains to the rail transport. The offerd train smooth and precise automatic braking device performs automatic service braking, ensuring the normal functioning conditions of the train brake system and the precise stops of the train at the estimated point, independently on track profile, length and weight of the train and does not need special input from the driver. The signal generator 2 of train smooth and precise automatic braking device receives control signals from station electrical interlocking system 1. The unit for next checkpoint parameters detection 10 defines the maximum speed at the section, the length of track, traffic signals and lights at the end of the track, and occupation of tracks with other railway objects. The train motion parameters measuring unit 11 measures speed and acceleration of the train in the way . The service braking parameters unit 12 defines the parameters that characterize the train's braking system efficiency, when driver is performing service braking during the train motion. The service brake program unit 13, when braking of the train is necessary, generates the appropriate control signals to the connected units. The unit of service brake proper functioning check 15 checks if the data issued by the service brake program unit 13 is correct and feasible and sends control signals to the amplifiers unit 17 or to the manual braking system control unit 16, which allows switching to manual control of train pneumatic braking system. The service brake alarm system 14 informs driver about started automatic service braking, its operating modes and status. The train traction control unit 18 according to the control signal disengage or restore the traction, the pressure reduction unit 21 reduces the air pressure, but the pressure increasing unit 20 increases the air pressure in the pneumatic train braking system 22. The air pressure control unit 19 checks if maximum permissible air pressure of braking system is not exceeded.
