Abstract

An invention relates to design of fiscal memory and it can be used in cash registers and systems of sale terminals. According to an invention, an electrical programmable read-only permanent memory, e.g., a flash memory chip, is used as a data storage in fiscal memory. Said electrically programmable read-only permanent memory is erase-protected by a circuit comprising non-programmable logical chips. Preferably, said erase-protecting circuit comprises two non-programmable logical chips at the most. The drawing shows a part of fiscal memory circuit with a flash memory chip as a data storage (unit 1). The flash memory chip is compatible with JEDEC 21-C standard and has separate write and erase commands. For example, ATMEL AT49F040 or AMD Am29F040B may be used. The erase-protecting circuit (unit 2) which protects flash memory chip from erase command, is implemented by two simple logical chips 74HC32 (K555KB1) and 74HC164 (K555BH8).
