Abstract

Invention relates to novel hydrated crystalline 6-hydroxy-3-(4-[2-(piperidin-1-yl)ethoxy]phenoxy)-2-(4-methoxyphenyl)b enzo[b]thiophene hydrochloride useful as agent in treatment of conditions related to diminishing of estrogen, cardiovascular diseases, hyperlipidemia, osteoporosis, endometriosis, uterine fibrosis, breast cancer, uterine cancer, prostatic cancer, benign prostatic hyperplasia, CNS disorders, including Alzheimer's disease as well as for up-regulating choline acetyltransferase.
