Abstract

The present invention concerns the field of electrochemical production of composite layers on the metallic surface as well as composite powders consisting of metal and inorganic compound. Namely, referred to nickel and zirconium oxide stabilised with yttrium oxide Ni-ZrO2+(12-15 weight-%)Y2O3. The invention allows to produce composite layer on the copper or nickel surface as well as said composite powder using electrochemical-coating. According to the invention the content of zirconium oxide stabilised with yttrium oxide is 25 to 50 weight-% in the coating. The intention is achieved by addition to electrolyte containing NiSO4.7H2O, H3BO3 one of the cationic-active organic substances, for example, dye "Red 2S" or "Black 2Z", or lauryl-dimethyl-benzylammonium chloride and zirconium oxide stabilised with yttrium oxide synthesised by plasma-process. The electrodeposition process is characterised by the cathodic current density, the electrolyte pH and temperature conditions.
