Abstract

This wall-mounted folding bench, which will support the maximum weight of 200kg, will consist in changing the protections of people who are not autonomous or not, whatever their age, in a lying position so as not to lie on the ground on floors that are not always clean. This is so that families keep their human dignity and that they no longer suffer psychologically in silence. The goal is to offer them more comfort on a daily basis so that they can go out freely without constraints. This bench is made of composite panels 13mm thick, dimensions 1400 x 450mm with optional seat removable in fabric and padded with foam, fixed by means of mechanical screws in the rear edge of the bench to make it difficult to remove. . This bench has never been designed in any public toilet for the disabled in the world, making this bench a first in Luxembourg.

»= Description of the invention LU102408 The aim of my idea is to first install public toilets throughout Luxembourg with a folding bank thanks to wall fixings (2 consoles and a panel), which will allow to provide hygienic care to people who are independent or not, while lying down to change their protections.

There is currently no wall-mounted folding bench in a public disabled toilet in the world.

Below is the description of the folding bench made by the company PROLUX S.A.: Pos. 1) Folding bench without seat.

Supply and installation of a bench fixed to the existing wall with good bearing capacity by means of screws and anchoring plugs adapted to the load of 200kg (by pair of brackets). for a person sitting or lying down.

Description: The bench panel is fixed to brackets by means of screws.

The panel is of the composite type (solid laminate} 13mm thick, the surface is non-porcuse, smooth, hygienically easy to clean, extremely resistant to pollution and impact and of durable aesthetics.

Decor finish: light blue for the prototype.

The above elements are fitted by fixing through the metal bracket, the admissible load for the pair of brackets is 200kg, zinc-plated finish.

The bench seat panel can be folded down completely or by 80 and 70 °. The height of the installation is considered to be 700 mm from the existing floor.
