본 발명에 따른 DVD의 재생환경 설정방법은 광 디스크 기록 재생기에 있어서, 사용자에 의하여 재생환경 설정키가 입력되면 화면에 재생환경 설정메뉴가 디스플레이되는 메뉴 디스플레이단계, 상기 재생환경 설정메뉴에 따라 시스템 고유의 기록 및 재생환경을 설정하는 설정단계, 상기 설정된 기록 및 재생환경을 메모리에 저장하는 저장단계를 포함하여 이루어지며, 그에 따른 재생방법은 광디스크 기록 재생기에 있어서, 상기 광 디스크 기록 재생기에 장착된 디스크가 CD 디스크인지, DVD디스크인지를 판단하는 판단단계, CD디스크 이면 상기 CD디스크를 재생하는 CD재생단계, DVD디스크이면 상기 DVD디스크의 I.D에 해당하는 재생환경 정보가 저장되어 있는지를 검지하는 검지단계, 해당 I.D의 정보가 없으면 기본값으로 재생환경을 설정하여 DVD의 디스크를 재생하는 기본재생단계, 해당 I.D의 정보가 있으면 해당 재생환경을 설정하여 DVD의 디스크를 재생하는 해당 디스크재생단계를 포함하여 이루어짐을 특징으로 한다. 따라서 본 발명은 DVD의 다양한 기능에 대한 활용도를 향상시켜 사용자의 영상시청을 극대화 시키는 효과가 있다.The playback environment setting method of a DVD according to the present invention comprises a menu display step in which a playback environment setting menu is displayed on a screen when a playback environment setting key is input by a user in an optical disc recording / playback player.
