본 발명은 공기조화기의 공기청정제어방법에 관한 것으로, 더욱 상세하게는 실내의 오염정도에 따라 실내팬의 구동속도를 가변시키도록 된 거싱다. 이를 위하여 본 발명은 고전압을 인가받아 오염물질을 집진하여 제거하는 전기집진기(41), 실내공기에 포함되니 먼지 및 부유물을 감지하는 오염감지부(20) 및 실내공기를 유입하고 열교환된 공기를 실내로 토출시키는 팬(31)을 구비하여 실내의 오염정도에 따라 전기집진기(41)의 구동여부를 결정하는 공기조화기에 있어서, (가) 실내공기에 포함된 먼지 및 부유물을 감지하는 과정, (나) 상기과정(가)에서 감지된 실내공기의 오염치(Vsen)를 일정 기준치(Vref)와 비교하고, 그 비교결과에 따라 전기집진기(41)의 구동여부를 결정하는 과정, (다) 상기 과정(나)에서 전기집진기(41)의 구동이 필요한 것으로 판단되면, 전기집기를 구동시키고, 상기 과정(가)에서 감지된 오염치(Vsen)에 비례하여 설정된 소정 회전수로 상기 팬(31)을 구동시키는 과정을 구비한 것을 특징으로 한다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
