Abstract

본 발명은 입체표시장치에 관한 것으로, 특히 렌티큘라 스크린에 투사하기전에 전처리 과정으로써, n개의 방향별 화상이 표시되는 n개의 LCD 판넬의 전면에 각각 렌티큘라 렌즈를 배치하여 픽셀(pixel)의 개구부를 축소한 뒤, 상기 렌티큘라 스크린에 투사하여 멀티플렉싱(Multiplexing)하여 배치함으로써 수평해상도와 밝기 및 화각의 저하없이 입체표시를 구현할 수 있도록 한 입체표시장치에 관한 것이다. 상기 목적을 달성하기 위한 본 발명의 입체표시장치는 입체카메라를 이용하여 각각의 방향에 대하여 각각의 촬영방향에 따른 화상들이 표시되는 LCD판넬과, 상기 LCD판넬의 전면에 각각 설치되어 상기 LCD 판넬의 픽셀의 개구부를 통한 화상을 축소 결상시키는 렌티큘라 렌즈와, 상기 각각의 LCD판넬에서 출발하는 광들을 편광현상을 이용하여 분리하는 복수개의 폴라리징 빔 스프리터와, 상기 폴라리징 빔 스프리터 각각에 설치되어 각각의 상기 LCD 판넬의 화상을 렌티큘라 쉬트스크린의 확산면에 멀티플렉싱하여 투사하는 투사렌즈로 이루어짐을 특징으로 한다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
