Abstract
본 발명은 디지탈영상 화질개선장치에 관한 것으로서, 명암대비를 증가시키고자 하는 화소에 N×N(여기서 N은 자연수) 윈도우의 중심이 오게 하여 윈도우내의 평균과 분산을 계산하기 위한 부분평균 및 부분분산 계산부, 계산된 분산과 영상특성을 나타내는 상수에 의해 k값을 계산하기 위한 k값 계산부와, 산출된 k값과 N×N 윈도우의 화소평균을 이용하여 해당 화소의 명암대비를 증가시키기 위한 명암대비 개선부로 구성된다. 따라서, 영상의 국부적인 특성을 구한 후 이를 이용하여 국부적으로 화질개선에 적합한 처리를 행해 주므로 화질개선처리로 인한 화질의 열화를 초래하지 않고서 영상전체에 걸쳐 화질을 개선시킬 수 있다.The present invention relates to a digital image quality improving device, wherein a pixel of which a contrast is to be increased has a center of an N × N (where N is a natural number) window so that a partial mean and partial dispersion for calculating an average and a variance in the window are provided.
