본 발명은 영상표시장치에 관한 것으로, 특히 프로그램안내에 따른 화면표시를 효율적으로 실시하여 사용의 편의를 도모한 개량된 영상표시장치의 프로그램안내 화면표시방법에 관한 것이다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. 종래의 영상표시장치에 있어서, 프로그램제목은 정해진 규격의 프로그램박스내에 기록되었다. 따라서 상기 프로그램제목이 길 경우, 전체 프로그램제목을 상기 정해진 규격의 프로그램박스내에 모두 표시하지 못하게 된다. 이에 따라 상기 프로그램제목의 일부만을 표시하게 되고, 사용자는 전체프로그램의 제목을 정확하게 인식하지 못하게 된다. 따라서 프로그램제목이 긴 경우에도 상기 프로그램제목을 한 화면에 모두 표시하는 영상표시장치의 프로그램안내 화면표시방법을 제공하는 것이 본 발명의 과제이다.In the conventional image display apparatus, the program title is recorded in a program box of a predetermined standard. 소정의 프로그램이 저장된 다수의 프로그램박스와, 상기 소정의 프로그램을 지정할 수 있는 커서가이드박스와, 상기 커서가이드박스에 인접하여 배치된 분류박스를 구비하는 영상표시장치의 프로그램안내 화면표시방법에 있어서, 상기 소정의 프로그램제목이 상기 프로그램이 표시되는 화면의 크기이하일때는 상기 프로그램을 상기 프로그램박스에 그대로 표시하는 제1방법과, 상기 소정의 프로그램제목이 상기 프로그램이 표시되는 화면의 크기를 초과할때는 상기 프로그램의 일부를 상기 프로그램박스에 표시하는 동시에 상기 프로그램의 전부를 소정의 공간에 표시하는 제2방법으로 이루어짐을 특징으로 하는 영상표시장치의 프로그램안내 화면표시방법을 구현하므로써 상기 과제를 달성하게 된다.A program guide screen display method of a video display device comprising a plurality of program boxes storing a predetermined program, a cursor guide box for designating the predetermined program, and a classification box arranged adjacent to the cursor guide box.
