본 발명은 동영상재생이 가능한 비디오컴팩트디스크(버전 2.0)의 프로그램 영역내에 존재하는 비디오CD정보영역의 ENTRIES.VCD화일의 정보를 이용하여 CD-DA트랙의 시작위치를 정확히 검출/저장시키고, 저장된 CD-DA트랙의 시작위치를 기초로 MPEGAV트랙과 CD-DA트랙사이에서 화상탐색과 고속탐색동작이 신속하면서도 정확하게 행해질 수 있도록 한 비디오컴팩트디스크의 화상탐색 및 고속탐색 제어방법을 제공하기 위한 것이다.The present invention accurately detects / stores the start position of a CD-DA track by using information of an ENTRIES.VCD file of a video CD information area existing in a program area of a video compact disc (version 2.0) capable of playing a moving picture, and stores a stored CD.
