본 발명은 차량의 위치검출장치 및 그 장치에서의 복층도로 검출방법에 관한 것으로, 그 장치적 구성은 차량의 위치를 감지하는 위치센서(10)와, 차량의 기울기를 감지하는 경사각센서(20), 도로구조에 대한 정보가 데이터베이스화되어 있는 맵데이터베이스(30), 상기 위치센서(10)와 GPS위성(11)으로 부터 인가되는 정보를 기초로한 차량의 현재 위치와 상기 맵데이터베이스(30)로 부터 읽어드린 도로구조에 대한 정보 및 상기 경사각센서(20)로 부터 읽어드린 경사각 정보를 종합하여 현재의 차량이 어느 도로상을 주행하고 있는지를 판단하는 차량항법장치(40), 상기 차량항법장치(40)의 제어신호에 따라 표시부(60)를 구동시키는 표시구동부(50) 및, 상기 표시구동부(50)의 구동에 따라 현재 차량이 주행하고 있는 도로상의 위치를 표시하여 주는 표시부(60)를 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 하며, 그 방법은 차량이 해당구간에서 일정한 각도 이상 또는 이하의 기울기를 가지고 일정거리이상 주행하게 되면 이를 지상 또는 지하도로 즉 복층도로로 판단하여 현재의 위치를 검출하고 이 정보를 기초로 맵메칭, 경로계산 경로이탈여부판단 등을 수행토록 함을 특징으로 한다.The present invention relates to a vehicle position detecting apparatus and a multi-layer road detection method in the apparatus, the device configuration of the position sensor 10 for detecting the position of the vehicle, the inclination angle sensor 20 for detecting the inclination of the vehicle The current location of the vehicle and the map database 30 on the basis of the information applied from the position sensor 10 and the GPS satellites 11, the map database 30 having database information on the road structure.
