Abstract

본 발명은 세라믹층이 형성된 알루미늄 밸브 태핏(TAPPET) 및 그 제조방법에 관한 것이다. 밸브 태핏은 캠과의 접촉부로서 내마모성이 우수하여야 함은 기왕부터 알고 추구해오는 기술로서, 종래에는 캠과의 접촉부(shim부라고도 함)에 특수강을 압입하고 있으나, 이 역시 내마모성에 만족스럽지 못하고 무게가 무거운 문제점이 있었다. 이와같은 종래 문제점을 해결하기 위한 본 발명은 세라믹층이 형성된 알루미늄 밸브 태핏과 그 제조방법을 개발한 것으로서 이는 알루미늄 밸브(1)의 스템 끝면 부분에 미세한 요철면을 형성하고 그 위에 세라믹층(다공질 세라믹층일 수도 있음)(2)을 형성함을 특징으로 하는 세라믹층이 형성된 알루미늄 밸브 태핏이고 알루미늄 밸브스템 끝면을 샌딩 처리하여 미세한 요철면으로 형성하고 이에 세라믹 또는 다공질 세라믹을 폭발 용사기로 고속, 초고온의 세라믹 입자를 뿜어서 스템 끝면에 세라믹층을 형성한 다음 그 태핏면을 활면으로 연삭함을 특징으로 하는 세라믹층이 형성된 알루미늄 밸브 태핏의 제조방법이다.The present invention relates to an aluminum valve tappet (TAPPET) formed with a ceramic layer and a method of manufacturing the same.
