본 발명은 차량의 상태에 관한 각종의 정보를 감지한 뒤에 이를 전기적인 신호로 출력하는 센서부(10)와, 상기한 센서부에서 입력되는 신호로부터 차량에 이상이 발생되었다고 판단한 경우에 이상이 발생되었음을 외부에 경고하고, 이상이 발생한 상태에서 차속이 일정 속도를 넘는 경우에는 강제적으로 차속을 일정 한도 내로 저감시키기 위한 신호를 출력하는 전자 제어부(20)와, 상기한 전자 제어부로부터 경고 신호가 입력되는 경우에 운전자에게 경고 메시지를 출력하는 경고 표시부(30)와, 상기한 전자 제어부로부터 입력되는 신호에 의해 온/오프되는 솔레노이드 밸브(40)와, 압축 공기를 발생시키는 에어 컴프레셔(50)와, 상기 에어 컴프레셔로부터 발생된 압축 공기를 저장시키는 공기 저장 탱크(60)와, 상기한 솔레노이드 밸브가 개방되는 경우에 상기한 공기 저장 탱크로부터 전송되어 오는 압축 공기에 의해 동작되는 액츄에이터(70)와, 상기한 액츄에이터와 기구적으로 연결되어 있으며, 상기한 액츄에이터의 동작에 의해 개도각이 결정되는 보조 드로틀 밸브(80)를 포함하여 이루어지며, 차량에 이상이 발생되는 경우에 보조 드로틀 밸브를 이용하여 차량의 속력이 일정한 한도 내에서만 가변되도록 함으로써 차량이 무리하게 과속되는 것을 방지하는 효과를 가진 차량의 페일 세이프 제어장치 및 그 방법을 제공한다.According to the present invention, an abnormality occurs when it is determined that an abnormality has occurred in a vehicle from a sensor unit 10 that detects various information about a state of a vehicle and outputs it as an electrical signal, and a signal input from the sensor unit.
