Abstract
본 발명은 다중화면(Picture In Picture, 이하 PIP라 함)기능을 제공하는 TV에 있어서, 특히 전체 방송 채널을 보다 용이하게 검색할 수 있도록 한 개선된 채널 검색 기능을 구비한 TV에 관한 것으로, 다수개의 채널을 일정 시간 간격으로 순차적으로 선국하여 선국된 각 채널의 화면을 한 모니터에 한꺼번에 디스플레이하는 PIP 기능을 구비한 TV에 있어서; 상기 다수개의 채널중 기 설정 개수의 채널들을 한 채널 세트로 하여 상기 각 채널 세트 단위로 채널 데이타들을 저장하는 메모리(220), 상기 메모리(220)에 상기 각 채널 세트 단위의 채널 데이타가 저장될 수 있도록 하는 각 채널 신호와, 상기 각 채널 세트 단위로 상기 PIP기능이 수행하도록 하는 업데이트 키 신호를 제공하는 키 입력부(230), 상기 각 채널 세트의 채널 데이타들이 전송될때마다 전송된 각 체널의 화면들에 대한 상기 PIP 기능이 수행되도록 상기 TV를 제어하되, 상기 각 채널 세트 단위로 채널 변경을 동시에 수행하면서 상기 PIP기능이 수행되도록 제어하는 제어부(100), 상기 키 입력부(230)로부터 상기 각 채널 상기 각 채널 세트의 채널 데이타가 제공되면 이를 메모리(220)에 저장되도록 하고, 상기 키 입력부(230)로부터 상기 업데이트 키 신호가 제공될 때마다 상기 메모리(220)에 저장된 채널 데이타들이 상기 각 채널 세트 단위로 순차적으로 제어부(100)에 제공되도록 하는 수신 및 갱신부(240)를 더 구비하여 구성함을 특징으로 한다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
