Abstract
본 발명은 영상의 밝기에 따라 적응적으로 영상신호의 윤곽을 보정하는 윤곽보정장치에 관한 것으로, 수직방향에 대한 수직윤곽신호를 추출하여 윤곽보정하는 수직윤곽보정수단과 프레임단위로 영상신호의 밝기를 검출하는 영상밝기검출수단과 주파수특성이 상이한 필터별로 대응하는 수평윤곽신호를 추출하는 수평윤곽추출수단 및 선택신호에 따라 해당 수평윤곽신호를 출력하는 선택수단과 수직방향에 대해 이미 윤곽보정된 영상신호를 강조하기 위해 추출된 수평윤곽신호를 더하는 합성수단으로 구성된다. 본 발명은 주파수특성이 각기 상이한 필터를 복수개 구비하여 영상신호의 밝기에 따라 수평방향에 대한 윤곽신호를 추출할 수 있어서 윤곽보정을 보다 충실하게 수행할 수 있으며, 특히 저휘도 영상신호를 윤곽보정시 화질의 열화를 방지할 수 있는 효과가 있다.The present invention relates to a contour correction device for adaptively correcting the contour of an image signal in accordance with the brightness of the image, the vertical contour correction means for extracting the contour contour by extracting the vertical contour signal in the vertical direction and the brightness of the image signal in units of frames The image brightness detection means for detecting the signal, the horizontal contour extraction means for extracting the horizontal contour signal corresponding to each filter having different frequency characteristics, the selection means for outputting the horizontal contour signal according to the selection signal, and the image already corrected for the vertical direction.
