Abstract
본 발명은 촉매컨버터의 입출력부에 설치되는 산소센서의 감지전압에 대한 진폭변화를 통해 촉매컨버터의 정화성능을 감지하여 규정성능 이하시 경고신호를 송출하도록 하는 자동차 촉매컨버터의 정화성능 검출장치와 그 방법에 관한 것으로, 촉매컨버터(10)의 전방과 후방에서 배기가스의 산소농도를 검출할 수 있는 산소센서(12,14)를 설치하고, 각각의 산소센서(12,14)로부터 출력되는 감지신호는 하이패스필터(20,22)에 의해 저전압측 이하부분을 삭제하므로써 산소센서 출력의 변동폭만을 나타내도록 하고 다음 절대치변환기(24,26)에서 정류처리하여 변동폭의 1/2크기의 절대값으로 표시되도록 하고, 이후 로우패스필터(28,30)를 사용하여 여러 사이클의 평균적인 변동폭의 크기를 출력하도록 한 후 제산기(34)에 의해 최종적으로 촉매 전방대비 촉매 후방의 진폭비율을 산출하여 엔진콘트롤유니트(34)로 입력시키고, 엔진콘트롤유니트(34)에서는 설정조건과 비교하여 설정조건에 부합되지 않는 경우 경고등(36)을 작동시키도록 이루어진 발명임.The present invention is to detect the purification performance of the catalytic converter through the amplitude change of the detection voltage of the oxygen sensor installed in the input and output of the catalytic converter and the purification performance detection device of the automotive catalytic converter to send a warning signal when the specified performance is below The method relates to the installation of oxygen sensors (12, 14) capable of detecting the oxygen concentration of the exhaust gas in front and rear of the catalytic converter (10), the detection signal output from each oxygen sensor (12, 14) By using the high-pass filter 20,22, the lower part of the low voltage side is removed so that only the fluctuation range of the oxygen sensor output is shown, and the rectification process is performed on the next absolute value converter 24,26 to display the absolute value of the magnitude of the fluctuation range.
