본 발명은 자동변속기 (AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION)의 레버(LEVER)가 후진을 나타내는 "R(REVERSE : 후진)"에 위치하였을 경우 점등되는 후진등에 관한 것으로, 특히, 자동변속기 레버(1)의 선택위치를 지속적으로 검출하여, 그 레버(1)가 후진을 나타내는 "R"에 위치하였는가를 검출하는 레버위치검출단계(100)와; 상기 레버위치 검출단계(100)를 수행한 결과, 레버(1)가 후진을 나타내는 "R"에 위치함에 따라, "R"에 위치해 있는 시간을 계수하여, 운전자가 후진을 하고자 하는 의도가 명확해지는 소정의 시간 이상인가를 판단하는 후진의 사판단단계(200)와; 상기 후진의사 판단단계(200)를 수행한 결과, 운전자의 후진의사가 명확해지는 소정의 시간 이상 상기 레버(1)가 "R"에 위치함에 따라, 후진등을 점등시키라는 제어신호를 출력하여 후진등을 점등시키는 후진점등단계(300)를 포함하여 구성됨을 특징으로 하는 자동변속기의 후진등 점등 제어 방법이다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1.
