Abstract
액정 디스플레이의 세그멘트 ON/OFF 상태를 검사하는 세그멘트 검사방법에 대해 개시한다. 이 검사방법은 액정디스플레이에 조명 (70)을 조사하여 각 세그멘트(31)를 모니터링하는 단계와, 세그멘트의 그레이 레벨값과 세그멘트 주변의 그레이 레벨값을 비교하여 임의의 초기치를 설정하는 단계와, 모니터링된 각 세그멘트의 위치를 순차적으로 인식하는 단계와, 인식된 세그멘트의 그레이 레벨값과 상기 초기치를 비교하여 세그멘트의 온/오프를 판정하는 비교단계를 포함한다. 이 검사방법은 조명의 조도 및 세그멘트의 위치가 변화되더라도 수작업에 의하지 아니하고 연속적인 검사를 가능하게 한다.A segment inspection method for inspecting a segment ON / OFF state of a liquid crystal display is disclosed.
