본 발명은 가입자가 전화를 이용하여 페이저의 알람시간을 설정함으로서 종래의 페이저의 외부버튼을 조작함에 따른 번거로운 방법을 해소할 수 있도록 된 전화를 이용한 페이저의 알람시간 설정방법 및 그 장치에 관한 것으로서, 수신된 호출데이타와 자체에 설정된 비밀번호를 비교하는 비밀번호판정단계와, 이 비밀번호판정단계에서 비밀번호의 입력으로 판정된 경우에는 해당 비밀번호에 부가되어 있는 시간 데이타를 근거로 알람시간을 갱신등록하는 알람시간설정단계를 포함하여 구성되고, 상기 비밀번호에 부가되어 있는 시간데이타가 정상적인 시간데이터인지를 판단하는 시간 데이타 판단단계와 설정된 알람시간을 표시해 주는 알람시간표시단계를 추가로 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다. 또한 알람시간을 저장하기 위한 데이터 저장수단을 갖추어 이 데이터저장수단에 저장된 시간의 도래시에 소정의 경고음을 출력하는 알람기능을 갖춘 페이저에 있어서, 비밀번호를 입력하기 위한 입력수단과, 이 입력수단에 의해 입력되는 비밀번호를 저장하는 비밀번호저장수단 및 호출수신시에 상기 비밀번호저장수단에 저장된 비밀번호가 입력되는지를 판정하여, 해당 비밀번호에 부가된 시간 데이타를 근거로 상기 데이터저장수단을 갱신 등록하는 제어수단을 포함하여 구성되고, 상기 데이터저장수단에 갱신 등록되는 알람시간을 표시해주는 표시장치를 추가로 포함하여 구성된 것을 특징으로 한다.The present invention relates to a method and apparatus for setting an alarm time of a pager using a telephone, which enables a subscriber to solve a cumbersome method of operating a conventional pager by setting an alarm time of a pager using a telephone.
