Abstract
Disclosed is an apparatus and method fro driving a embarkation bridge. The apparatus comprises a manipulator(10), a PLC(20), an inverter(30), a wheel driver(40), a bypass driver(51), a bypass circuit(52), 1st bypass switching means(53), 2nd bypass switching means(54). The PLC(20) controls the inverter(30) to drive wheels of the embarkation bridge. The bypass driver(51) operates according to the operation state of the PLC(20). The bypass circuit(52) drives the inverter(30). The 1st bypass switching means(53) transmits the signal from the manipulator(10) to the bypass circuit(52). The 2nd bypass switching means(54) applies the signals from the bypass circuit(52) to the inverter(30). The 1st and bypass switching means(53, 54) are composed of many relays. Thereby, the assistant apparatus operates when the PLC(20) is out of order.
