Abstract

In the method for saving electric power of a moving terminal including a receiver(10) for demodulating radio frequency received through an antenna, a sound data processor(20) for properly processing reception sound data of the receiver(10) and transmission sound data inputted through an inputting part, a transmitter(30) for modulating the transmission sound data properly processed in the sound data processor(20) and outputting it through an antenna, a duplexer(40) utilized to commonly use one antenna for the transmission and the reception, and a controller(50) for generally controlling an overall system: the method comprises a first step(601 to 605) of clarifying by a mobile station a paging part of a state channel designated to a tribe-inside terminal itself in a stand-by state for a conversation and, confirming its own address; a second step(606 to 608) for performing a call determination and the conversation when it is confirmed as its own address in the first step, and then returning to the conversation stand-by state, and if not confirmed, turning off power till a corresponding cycle of a next tribe; and a third step(609 to 611) for turning on power in a frame just before the corresponding cycle of the next tribe concerned with the second step, executing an initial synchronizing work of the mobile station, and returning to the conversation stand-by state, whereby improving a movability and a portability by realizing a small size and a light weight of a moving terminal and also effectuating an enlargement of a communicative area by constructing a pager mode and a phone mode for the same terminal and the same base station.
