Abstract

A transmitter for remotely controlling a receiver in a mutual telecommunication is disclosed. The transmitter comprises a key matrix(20) having a number of keys; a multiplexor(21) connected to the key matrix(20) to receive key signals; a transmitter CPU(22) connected to the multiplexor to receive a multiplex signal and to control a required operation; a transmitter program memory(23) connected to the transmitter CPU to store a program related to the required operation; a display controller connected to the transmitter CPU to display a key operation information and a result of the program operation; an output controller(25) for converting the output signal of the transmitter CPU(22) in order to transmit the program operation result to the transmitter; a transmitting diode(26,26-1) for transmitting a output signal of the output controller; a memory connected to the transmitter to store a operation signal of the receiver; a data controller(28,28-1) for controlling both the operation signal of the receiver and a status signal of the receiver; a receiving diode(27,29) for receiving a transmitting signal from the receiver; and a pre-amplifier for amplifying the transmitted signal. Thereby, the transmitter is capable of controlling any type of the receivers adaptively.
