자기 디스크들의 각 면에 대하여 리드 채널 최적화 시험을 하여 각 디스크 면 및 존마다에 대한 시험에 따른 에러 갯수가 미리 설정된 수 이상일 경우, 디스크면들 중 불량 디스크면의 외주부터 모든 존들의 트랙 수를 일정 감소시켜 재할당하고 양호한 디스크면의 외주부터 모든 존들의 트랙 수르 일정 증사기켜 재할당하여 각 존들의 크기를 변경하며, 변경된 디스크들의 각 면에 대하여 다시 리드 채널 최적화 시험을 하여 각 디스크 면 및 존마다에 대한 시험에 따른 에러 갯수를 측정하고, 존들의 크기 변경 전후에 에러 갯수를 비교하여 변경전의 에러 갯수가 변경 후의 에러 갯수보다 많을 경우 초기 설정된 존 레이아웃 정보를 변경된 존 레이아웃 정보를 갱신한다.If the number of errors according to the test for each disk surface and zone is more than the preset number, the track number of all zones is fixed from the outer periphery of the defective disk surface among the disk surfaces.
