Abstract

본 발명은 광 디스크 시스템에 관한 것으로, 특히 고밀도 광 디스크에서 포커스 오프셋을 인접 트랙의 영향이 최소가 되도록 자동으로 조정하는 광 디스크 시스템의 포커스 오프셋 자동조정장법 및 장치에 관한 것으로, 일반 광 디스크에서 트랙피치가 1.6㎛이므로 인접하는 트랙에 대한 영향은 어느정도 극복할 수 있지만, 일반적으로 고밀도 광 디스크에서는 트랙피치가 일반 광 디스크에 비해 그 크기가 반 이하로 줄어들기 때문에 알에프신호레벨이 가장 큰 곳에 포커스 오프셋을 조정하였을 경우에 알에프신호의 레벨은 크게되지만 레이저빔의 포커스가 어긋나 있다면 인접트랙에 영향을 받을 수 있어 재생된 알에프신호에 지터(Jitter)성분이 많이 존재하게 되어 신호의 에러율이 증가하게 되는 문제점이 있었으나, 본 발명에서는 알에프신호의 인벨러프 진폭레벨을 검출하여 그 값이 최대가 되는 점의 값을 최적의 포커스 오프셋값으로 선정함으로써 알에프신호 레벨이 최대가 되면서 아울러 인접 트랙의 영향이 최소가 되도록 자동으로 포커스 오프셋을 조정하여 최상의 알에프신호를 재생할 수 있는 조건을 만드는 효과가 있게 된다.BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION Field of the Invention The present invention relates to an optical disc system, and more particularly, to an optical disc system that automatically adjusts a focus offset so that the influence of adjacent tracks is minimized in a high density optical disc.
