Abstract
A self refresh device is disclosed. The self refresh device continuously performs a burst self refresh operation and a distribution self refresh operation. The self refresh device comprises refresh mode detector for detecting whether a refresh mode that is set before the device operates at self refresh mode is a RAS only refresh mode or CBR refresh mode. Thereby at the self refresh mode operation after the CBR refresh mode, unnecessary burst refresh operation is not performed. Thus, power consumption at self refresh mode is reduced.
