따라서, 현재 스테인레스 강관과 같은 박육관을 연결하는 방법으로는 국내실용신안공고번호 제85-328호 및 국내 특허공고번호 제90-7403호에서 알려진 바와 같이 박육관의 연결단부 외주면에 환상 돌륜부를 돌출형성하고 그 돌륜부를 형성한 연결단부를 패킹으로 포위하여 경첩형 금속밴드를 조여 붙이거나 연결구 본체 내주면에 패킹링 끼움홈과 돌륜부 끼움홈 및 돌륜부 지지턱을 형성하여 그 내부에 돌륜부를 가지는 박육관의 연결단부를끼우고 연결구 본체의 내주면 나사부에 내단부가 돌륜부의 관축방향으로의 이탈을 방지하도록 체결링을 나사끼움 부착 고정하는 방법을 사용하였는바, 전자의 경우는 양 연결단부 외주면 전체를 패킹이 포위하고 있어서 수밀성의 면에서는 양호하지만 관축방향으로의 이탈력에 대하여서는 그 지지력이 취약하고, 후자의 경우에는 관축방향으로의 이탈에 대한 억제력은 크지만 패킹은 단지 끼움홈에 끼워져 자체 신축 탄력성에 의해서만 수밀성을 나타내므로 관로상에 고압이나 부압이 걸릴 때 누수의 염려가 있으며, 또한 양자 모두가 패킹을 지정위치에 미리 맞추어 끼워넣고 그 다음에 관을 경첩형 금속밴드나 연결구 본체를 이용하여 연결조립하는 과정을 거치는 것이므로 연결조립 시공이 번거로운 불편 점도 있었다.Therefore, as a method of connecting a thin tube such as a stainless steel pipe at present, annular protrusions are formed on the outer circumferential surface of the connecting end of the thin tube, as known from Korean Utility Model Publication No. 85-328 and Korean Patent Publication No. 90-7403.
