Abstract
Polyamide is prepared by copolymerizing epsilon-caprolactam with 5-8 wt. % of tetramethylolmethane. In an example, a mixture of epsilon-caprolactam containing 10 wt. % of water, 0,25 acetic acid and 5 wt. % of tetramethylol-methane is polymerised in nitrogen gas in an autoclave by conventional polymerization method. Relative viscosity and the degree of crystallinity of obtained polyamide is 2.40 and 28 % respectively when 5 wt.% of tetra-methylolmethane is mixed with epsilon-caprolactam.
