본 발명은 초저속 전송에 알맞는 고압축 영상 부호화 시스템에 관한 것으로, 이를 해결하기 위하여 입력되는 영상 프레임 신호를 블럭단위 움직음 보상 -DCT 방식과 특정점단위 움직임 보상 -DCT 방식에 따라 부호화를 수행될 수 있도록 선택하는 선택기 (30)와, 어느 한 움직임 보상 -DCT 방식에 의한 부호화가 선택되면, 입력되는 영상 프레임을 저장하는 제 1프레임 메모리 (50)와, 제 1, 2프레임 메모리 (42)(50)에서 복원되는 프레임들과 현재 입력되는 프레임을 근거로 어느 세트의 프레임에 대한 움직임 변위와 보상될 오차변위를 각각 제공하는 특징점 움직임 예측부 (60)와, 현재 입력되는 프레임과 특징점 움직임 예측부 (60)의 보상오차변위를 부호화하는 제 1부호기 (70)를 포함하도록 구성된다.The present invention relates to a high compression video encoding system suitable for ultra low speed transmission.
